Trademark Renewal

Trademark is a type of Intellectual Property that protects the word, logo, symbol, mark, slogan or design used by a business to differentiate its products or services from other similar goods and services available in the market. A Trademark needs to be registered first by the owner with the Trademark Registration.

After registration, the ® symbol can be used with the Trademark. A Trademark registration is valid for a period of 10 years. Upon completion of this period, the Trademark application needs to be renewed to extend the validity to another 10 years. This renewal application must be filed before the expiry of the 10 years period.
