My grandfather died in 1970. There are six children 2 boys and 4 girls out of which only 1 girl and 1 boy were married. Now the eldest son after my grandfather death took care of all and their marriage including my grandmother as there was no family pension to her. Also, the ancestral property of my great grandfather got inherited to my father and uncle during the survey. At that time none of my aunt claim for it. Now they are asking for their share and want to file a case on us. What is there rights now and how much will they get. Please note that all the property were purchased by my great grandfather, not grandfather.Read More

My father prepared a will in 1998, deeding our family apartment to my brother to help him migrate. In 2018, he changed the society nomination of the said home from 50% to my mother to 50% to my brother. My mother was excluded in the second nomination. Only my brother was informed of this change. My father passed away in 2019 and it is then we knew of the nomination change. I have 4 queries: 1. Can my mother legally appeal for her legal right to inherit the said apartment? 2. Can my brother use the will to claim the apartment if the will was not made with this purpose? 3. So daughters have a legal right to claim an equal share if the nomination paper states 25%? What would you advise my 80-year-old mother to do?Read More

I have been separated from my wife for 3 years. She had extra marital affairs and the divorce case is running in the family court. Almost 6 months back, I met a similar problematic person and we found very much comfortable together. She filed for divorce in 2 years back when she found that her husband is in a living relationship with a lady and both of them are settled in abroad. It's been 2 and a half years he never bothered to visit home and they have a 7-year-old boy child. Due to lack of options, she agreed for a compromise her petition and she stays at her husband's home with the kid and his parents. He used to send 5k every month for the expense and they don't have a husband-wife relationship. This is our background. If she comes out of that home, is there any legal opportunity for his family to sue us, as she has a 7-year boy who is much fond of the grandmother who has raised him since 8 months. Also, they need to return back her gold and other assets. She was working abroad and nobody has any serious attachment to her in that family. Since I too have a case in court. We can't legally marry. Please advise in case if we start living together, what is the expected legal problems we may face. We don't need any of her gold or asset from her husband's home.Read More
