I got married on 18 June 2017. I work in a hospital as a laboratory technician in Delhi and my husband works in a BPO in Gurgaon. After marriage, my husband and mother-in-law started pressurising me for not visiting my parents. My husband got irritated and annoyed at my talking to my brother, sisters and (widowed) mother. My husband checked all the messages and calls on my phone. My father expired in 1995. I was taking care of my widowed mother and an unmarried sister before my marriage. After marriage, my husband and my in-laws didn't let me support my brother and sisters. My mother-in-law demanded my salary and my father-in-law asked me about all the details of my investments and previous earnings before marriage. They doubted me if I am still helping my family financially after marriage. My husband fought with me threatened me for divorce several times. One day I had to take my mother to the hospital for her treatment as she was severely ill. I had to stay with her in the hospital for a day as she was admitted. My husband and in-laws said to me "either be with your mother or take divorce." I tried to persuade them but they didn't agree. From then I am living with my mother as my husband continuously threatened and tortured me to not help my family. Now after one year of my marriage, my husband has filed for divorce. Earlier, I didn't want to divorce him. He coerced me to divorce him through Mutual consent divorce. I wanted my marriage to work. He was not interested and filed for contested divorce petition. I never thought he would take a serious step. But thinking a lot, I have also decided to end this one-sided relationship. Next month in October, I have to appear in court with my reply to allegations he has filed to take divorce.

In case of contested divorce, you can challenge the allegations put against you by your husband. The core meaning of contested or one-sided divorce is that a divorce can be filed by one spouse and the other spouse can challenge it in the court through a divorce lawyer.
You can easily challenge the allegation put by your husband by presenting your case and evidence. You must hire a good divorce advocate to defend your contested divorce. The divorce attorney will look into your matter and suggest you the best legal recourse to take against your husband's allegations.
