I have a loan account with Standard Chartered Bank, India. I made principal part-repayment via cheque on 9 August 2018. Till today, the Standard Chartered Bank is not co-operating to reflect the part payment amount in my loan account although the cheque was encashed. What can I do if Standard Chartered bank denies the part repayment made for my loan account? I have a statement showing debit of the amount via the paid cheque and receipt.

In this scenario, you should hire the best Consumer Protection lawyers in India to help you draft a legal notice to Standard Chartered Bank to help you recover the amount from the bank or to get the bank to acknowledge the payment. Sending a legal notice helps to intimate the bank regarding your intention to sue in case your issue remains unresolved. If you do not get a response from the bank or if the response you get doesn’t resolve your issue appropriately, you may move on to file a consumer complaint before the appropriate forum. Taking the help of the top Consumer Protection lawyers in India will ensure that you can file a complaint that is well-drafted and legally sound which will, in turn, help you to get the appropriate relief. The Consumer Complaint needs to be filed in the appropriate forum as determined by the pecuniary and territorial jurisdiction of your complaint. Expert Consumer protection lawyers in your locality will help you in this process.
