Landlord evicting me after Husband's Death. What should I do?

After my husband's death for how long can I live in my house? Our landlord had made a stamp paper contract that from now onwards the flat belongs to me. But after some time he said you have to leave it after 5 years . I am paying the rent every month. Still I am confused. What should be done?

This would depend entirely on the lease agreement (or any other contract or document) that you have executed with your landlord. One would need to have it examined by a professional to draw a proper conclusion. It is doubtful that your right to tenancy would depend on when your husband passed away. What are the terms of the lease and had you and your husband signed the lease jointly?
