Why’s EC silent on convicted netas, asks SC

The Election Commission on Wednesday drew the Supreme Court’s ire for its silence on whether convicted MPs and MLAs should be barred from contesting elections for life. The court wondered if the EC’s silence was influenced by the Centre’s stand.
