The Supreme Court today ordered that the results of National Eligibility cum Entrance Text 2017 (NEET 2017) be declared by June 26.

The Court overruled a stay issued by the Madras High Court in the matter.

The Court also directed that no High Court should entertain petition relating to NEET 2017, reports ToI.

The matter was heard by a Bench of Justices PC Pant and Deepak Gupta . Additional Solicitor General Maninder Singh appeared for CBSE while advocate Vivek Singh appeared for the petitioner students.

On May 24, the Madras High Court had stayed the declaration of results of NEET 2017 in a plea that NEET question papers for in English and Hindi were same, they it was different for those who appeared in the test in eight other vernacular languages.
