Sridevi death- Subramanian Swamy claims foul play, says difficult to drown and die in bathtub

Senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy on Tuesday morning said that it is difficult for someone to drown and die in a bathtub and termed Bollywood actress Sridevi’s death in Dubai a “murder”. Speaking to news agency ANI, Swamy questioned the absence of CCTV footage related to the incident. “I think this is a murder. She never touched hard drinks. It’s also difficult to drown and die in a bathtub,” the Bharatiya Janata Party leader said.

Swamy said that facts shown in media do not appear to be consistent and claimed that Sridevi never drank hard liquor and wondered how it could enter her system. “Let’s wait for prosecution to pronounce it. Facts in media don’t appear to be consistent. She never drank hard liquor, how did it enter her system? What happened to CCTV? Doctors suddenly appeared before and said she died of heart failure,” Swamy said.

This statement comes a day after Sridevi’s forensic report revealed that the 54-year-old actress had died due to accidental drowning in her hotel bathtub after losing consciousness, and not of cardiac arrest, which was believed to be the cause of death initially.
