Chandigarh: The lawyer for Haryana BJP chief Subhash Barala's son Vikas and his friend Ashish Kumar, in an application moved in court on Friday, demanded Sector 26 police station's CCTV footage of the night the duo was arrested for allegedly staking Panchkula-based DJ Varnika Kundu.
In the application, the defence counsel has also sought the call details of Varnika and her father, senior IAS officer Virender Kundu. The counsel alleged that the complainants had drafted a foolproof complaint, after taking legal advice.Arguments on this application will take place on October 9.

The defence counsel claimed that the entire case had been fabricated. The counsel claimed that the complainant and her father were accompanied by two lawyers on the night of the arrest. It said that Varnika's father had typed the complaint in the police station. However, the prosecution denied having CCTV footage of the police station. The defence counsel said call details of Varnika and her father should be handed to court and the details should be kept in court custody.
The prosecution asked for time to file its reply on this.
On August 5, Vikas, a student of law in Kurukshetra University, and Ashish, a law graduate, had allegedly followed Varnika, tried to stop her car, and open it.
