Flipkart is an e-commerce marketplace unicorn company founded in 2007 by Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal. The company is registered in Singapore but has its headquarters in Bangalore and Karnataka in India. Flipkart ships over 50 lakhs shipments each month and generates over 80 lakh daily page visits. Selling on Flipkart involves five major steps:

  1. Business entity : The first step is to review, decide and register a suitable business entity. The business structure includes Private Limited Company , Limited Liability Partnership, Sole Proprietorship, etc.
  2. Tax registration : Thereafter, you must obtain PAN, TIN & TAN in the name of the business entity.
  3. Bank account : A bank account must be opened in the name of the business.
  4. Register with flipkart : If you already have a set-up business, with all the above requisites. This would be your first step. In this step, all the required documents must be submitted to Flipkart and you are ready to become a Flipkart seller.
  5. Sell on Flipkart : On registration, you may commence selling your products on Flipkart.
